Naomi Myrvaagnes has created this website to curate her writing in prose and poetry—past, present, and, with permission of the gods, future. The impetus for the site was publication of her book of lyric poems, Chamber of Wonders, in October 2019.
The Cleansing
It is a closed chamber of wonders
in which the waters whoosh and wash.
All that are dirty—thrashed and rinsed.
All that is clouded—made clear.
The God works here, hidden:
then heat and glow, the satisfied exhalations
of the saved
when the heavy stone
is rolled away.
